261st Army Medical Corps Day Celebrations at Bengaluru
Bengaluru, April 5. To commemorate the selfless dedication and supreme professionalism of the Armed Forces Doctors and Paramedics, 261st Army Medical Corps (AMC) day was celebrated on April 4 at Rajendra Sinhji Army Officers’ Institute (RSAOI) Bengaluru. Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command, Indian Air Force was the chief guest for the occasion. Air Vice Marshal Renuka Kunte, Principal Medical Officer, HQ Training Command, and Air Vice Marshal Kaushik Chatterjee, Commandant, CHAFB, were the Chief Patron and Chairman of the event respectively. The event was attended by military & civil dignitaries and veterans of AMC whose presence added to the glory of the event.
Air Vice Marshal Renuka Kunte in her address, re-affirmed commitment to excellence in medical services, ensuring that every soldier and citizen receive the best possible care. Emphasising the importance of modernisation in medical field, the PMO stressed that integrating cutting-edge technology with our values of service and dedication, we ensure world class medical care for our soldiers, Ex Servicemen and their families. She also expressed sincere gratitude to the veterans for their contribution to the Corps.
Army Medical Corps (AMC) came into being unifying the Indian Medical Service, Indian Medical Department, and Indian Hospital Corps. As the backbone of military healthcare, AMC has upheld excellence in medical support, ensuring the wellbeing of soldiers in both peace and war and has rendered invaluable assistance during HADR operations both within and outside the country.
