PC Thakur appointed Director General, Fire Services, Civil Defence and Home Guards

New Delhi. Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer PC Thakur has been appointed Director General, Fire Services, Civil Defence and Home Guards (FS, CD&HG).

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the appointment of Mr Thakur till December 31, 2016.

Mr Thakur is a 1979 batch IPS officer from Gujarat cadre. He was also appointed as Gujarat Director General of Police (DGP) in December 2013.
