New Delhi. At the invitation of Minister of Home & Cultural Affairs, Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB), Lyonpo Dawa Gyeltshen, Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju visited Bhutan from July 2-4 to attend the International Conference on Tradition and Innovation in Vajrayana Buddhism.
During the visit, Mr Rijiju called on Bhutan Prime Minister Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay, Minister of Home & Cultural Affairs Lyonpo Dawa Gyeltshen, and Minister for Foreign Affairs, RGoB, Lyonpo Damcho Dorji. He also met Royal Bhutan Army Chief Operations Officer Lt Gen Batoo Tshering. Varied issues of bilateral and mutual importance were discussed during the meetings.
On July 3, the MoS addressed the Closing Session of International Conference on “Vajrayana Buddhism: A Mandala of 21st Century Perspectives†at the Royal Institute for Tourism & Hospitality (RITH), Thimphu.
