Mumbai. RAdm Sathish Vasudev, NM assumed charge as the Flag Officer Defence Advisory Group and Advisor Offshore Security and Defence to the Govt. of India on March 1.
An alumnus of NDA and has specialised in Navigation & Direction. His key afloat appointments include commissioning crew of INS Mumbai, Executive Officer of INS Talwar and command of INS Gomati and INS Tarkash.
His important appointments ashore were at Dte of Naval Operations and Dte of Naval Plans at NHQ, Director (Perspective Planning) at Army HQ and instructor tenures at ND School and DSSC, Wellington.
A graduate of DSSC, Wellington and Naval War College, Goa, he holds Masters degrees in Defence Studies and Nautical Science and an MPhil in Defence Studies. He is a recipient of the Nao Sena medal.
