Founder of India’s First Military-Grade Bomber UAV meets the President of Mauritius
Mauritius, May 10. Followed by the unveiling of India’s first unmanned bomber aircraft, FWD 200B, in Bengaluru, India, Suhas Tejaskanda, Founder of Flying Wedge Defence and a pioneer in India’s defence and aerospace technology sector, takes centre stage in the presence of President Prithvirajsing Roopun, and Vice President Eddy Boissézon of Mauritius at the Mauritius Emerging Tech Expo (METX), on May 10.
While addressing the audience at METX, Mr. Tejaskanda articulated a comprehensive vision for collaboration with the Republic of Mauritius, emphasising the critical role of technology in tackling pressing global warfare challenges.
The company’s collaboration with the Republic of Mauritius encompasses several key objectives, including Setting up drone training, enhancing maritime security, medical emergency response and promoting agricultural innovation.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Suhas Tejaskanda highlighted that “the way warfare dynamics are rapidly evolving, as we can witness during the Israel-Gaza war and Russia-Ukraine War, recognising these challenges, we need to take major steps towards being powerful on itself without seeking assistance from others”. In addition to this, “ We stand firm in our commitment to support our allies with innovative unmanned aircraft technology, starting with a $3 million investment. Additionally, he mentioned, “Our focus extends beyond defence. We also aim to revolutionise agriculture with innovations that reduce pesticide usage by up to 85%, ensuring sustainable and eco-friendly practices and building a safer, more prosperous future for all”.
Driven by a commitment to reducing India’s and other countries’ reliance on costly bomber unmanned aircraft imports and boosting the Make in India initiative, the company aims to position India as a global drone manufacturing and technology hub across the globe while equipping the nation with the right air defence resources and enhancing national and international security.
