Kazan, October 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to resolve conflicts during the bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, in Kazan.
This is not the first time that PM Modi has stressed for peaceful resolution of conflict, through dialogue and diplomacy, between the two warring nations.
“I am in constant touch with you and your counterpart in Ukraine on the ongoing conflict. I have said earlier and would like to reiterate that problems should be resolved in a peaceful manner. We fully support the early establishment of peace and stability. All our efforts give priority to humanity. India is ready to provide all possible Cooperation in this regard,” PM Modi said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Kazan, Russia, for the BRICS SUMMIT, held delegation level talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, ahead of the Summit.
PM Modi is also likely to hold bilateral level talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other participating leaders.
PM Modi will be in Russia for two days to participate in the BRICS Summit, themed “Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security”, beginning later today, with the main deliberations scheduled on Wednesday, October 23.
India brings significant value to BRICS and its contributions have played a crucial role in shaping the bloc’s efforts in areas of economic growth and global governance reforms.
