Prime Minister Narendra Modi, arrived at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, after his two day visit to Nigeria, to take part in the G-20 Leaders Summit, early this morning, where he was given a ceremonial guard of honour

Announcing his arrival, PM Narendra Modi said in a post on his official X handle “Landed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to take part in the G-20 Summit. I look forward to the deliberations and fruitful talks with various world leaders,” the PM wrote
Bangalore, November 18. In Brazil, the Prime Minister will attend the 19th G-20 Summit, as a member of the Troika. India is part of the G-20 Troika along with Brazil and South Africa.
PM Narendra Modi in his departure statement had said that “This year Brazil has built upon India’s legacy. I look forward to meaningful discussions in keeping with our vision of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future.’ I will also use this opportunity to exchange views on furthering bilateral cooperation with several other leaders.” Induction of 55 nation African Union as a permanent member of the G-20 and managing to produce leaders’ declaration overcoming deep divisions over the Ukraine conflict were seen as a major milestone of India’s G-20 Presidency last year.
Alongside PM Narendra Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping, US President Joe Biden will be among the leaders attending the Rio de Janeiro G-20 Summit.
