Prestigious Training Institutes of Air Force Station Jalahalli Celebrates Platinum, Diamond and Golden Jubilees
Bengaluru, November 25. Air Force Station Jalahalli celebrated historic milestones of Platinum, Diamond and Golden Jubilees of its prestigious training institutes namely Communication Training Institute (CTl), Electronic Training Institute (ETl) and 16 TETTRA School (erstwhile ADGESTI) respectively on 25 November 2024. Over the years, these institutions have been cornerstones of excellence, shaping generations of air warriors of the Indian Air Force. Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command graced the occasion as chief guest.
During the event, the chief guest released the first day cover of the three TIs, the first edition of ‘Kaizen’ a Quality Journal of CTI and Commemorative Coffee Table Books of ETI & 16 TETTRA School. In his address, while acknowledging the evolution of the training institutes in transitioning from traditional methods to cutting edge technologies in molding the trainees to excel in a world driven by constant innovation in the backdrop of fast emerging technologies, he also extended a heartfelt tribute to the invaluable contributions of the institutions’ veterans whose efforts have been instrumental towards its’ growth.
The AOC-in-C encouraged the first batch of Agniveervayu trainees undergoing their upskilling module, to adopt a lifelong learning approach in mastering the new technologies and their application skills. Highlighting the transformative nature of the Agnipath Scheme the AOC-in-C added, “This initiative is not just a pathway to serve the nation but a transformative opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and technical expertise”.
Earlier in the day, on his arrival, the AOC-in-C was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour at Air Force Stn Jalahalli and conducted on a tour to various training institutes of the station. During his visit, the Air Marshal also inaugurated a new Op-Employment Weapon Simulator and Generative Al Based Training tool.
Mrs Vandana Kapoor, President Air Force Family Welfare Association (AFFWA), Regional Training Command inaugurated the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) at the AF School. The lab is an initiative to create an environment of scientific temperament, innovation and creativity amongst students. President AFFWA (R) visited the Blooming Buds playschool and Umeed Asha Kiran School (UAKS); a school for specially abled children where inclusion meets inspiration and growth.
