Nagpur. On the occasion of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” the Indian Army has undertaken various initiatives including plantation drives, screening of patriotic films, motivational lectures etc. Continuing with the same, a Blood donation camp was organised under the aegis of Headquarter Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub Area at AFI Building, Nagpur on August 10.
The camp which was inaugurated by Major General Dinesh Hooda, VSM, GOC HQ Uttar Maharashtra & Gujarat Sub Area, included participation by Military Hospital, Kamptee, Arpan & Mayo blood banks, Nagpur. A total number of 155 volunteers came for the noble cause, which included service personnel and civilians of all age groups. The blood collected during the event will be shared with the Government Blood banks.
