Graduation Parade of No. 19 Software Engineers Course held at SDI, Air Force

Bengaluru. A ceremonial Passing Out Parade (POP) of No. 19 Software Engineers Course (SEC) conducted at Software Development Institute(SDI), IAF was held on December 18 to mark the successful completion of 24 weeks of their rigorous training. A total of three officers of Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) branch graduated the course. These officers would now be earmarked for posting to SDI as Avionics Software Engineers.

The Chief Guest for the valedictory function was Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh AVSM NM, Commandant, National Defence Academy (NDA). The Chief Guest was received at the venue by Air Vice Marshal KN Santosh VSM, Commandant, Software Development Institute. The ceremony was attended by civilian/ defence dignitaries from DRDO, DPSUs and other establishments from Bangalore area.

The Chief Guest addressed the august gathering and congratulated the graduating officers. In his address, the Vice Admiral emphasized the pivotal role to be undertaken by the SEC graduates in enhancing and progressing the Op-Potential of the IAF. He exhorted the young engineering officers to keep abreast with the fast changing technology by constantly upgrading their skills and maintaining the unflinching professionalism. The Chief Guest awarded the trophies to the officers who excelled in the course.
