New Delhi. Hansraj Gangaram Ahir assumed charge as Minister of State for Home Affairs in New Delhi July 11.
Mr Ahir hails from Maharashtra and is elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Chandrapur constituency. He is an agriculturist by profession.
The newly inducted Minister was earlier elected to the Parliament for three times. He has been a Member of various Standing Committees and also served as the Chairperson of Standing Committee on Coal and Steel.
Prior to taking over as MoS (Home), Hansraj Gangaram Ahir served as MoS (Chemicals & Fertilizers) in the current Government.
