Headquarters Training Command, IAF  Organizes 10th International Day of Yoga

Bengaluru, June 21. Aimed at promoting the ancient practice of Yoga and its immense benefit for physical, mental, and overall well-being of personnel and their families, HQ Training Command (IAF), Bengaluru organized the 10th International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2024. Premier Air Force units under this HQ in Bengaluru area, that include Air Force Station Yelahanka, Air Force Station Jalahalli, Command Hospital Air Force Bengaluru, Institute of Aerospace Medicine and Air Force Technical College, actively joined the global event.

More than 3000 IAF personnel & their family members, trainees, Agniveervayu (Men & Women) and students across all units in the area enthusiastically participated in the iconic event to mark the occasion as a day to reinvigorate their physical and mental well-being and to foster unity, harmony besides developing a healthy and positive outlook.

Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Training Command along with senior functionaries at HQ TC, and Commanders along with personnel at their respective units joined the sessions to motivate the personnel to embrace Yoga as part of their routine life. Itinerary included introductory talk on importance and health benefits of practicing Yoga, Yogic Kriyas, meditation exercise followed by Sankalpa and prayer.
