India, US Sign Arrangement for Exchange of Terrorist Screening Information
New Delhi. An Arrangement between the authorised governmental agencies of the Government of India and the Government of the United States of America (US) for exchange of terrorist screening information was signed in New Delhi June 2.
The Arrangement was signed by Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi and the US Ambassador to India Richard Verma.
As per this Arrangement, both sides shall provide each other access to terrorism screening information through the designated contact points, subject to domestic laws and regulations.
The Arrangement would enhance the counter-terrorism cooperation between India and the US.
