Indian Army Leads Blood Donation Drive on World Blood Donor Day

Bengaluru, June 13. In a remarkable humanitarian effort, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) and the Lions Club Blood Banks, organized a large-scale blood donation drive at the Banaswadi Military Station to mark World Blood Donor Day.

The event saw an overwhelming turnout, with 300 donors, comprising Army personnel and their families, coming forward to donate blood. This noble initiative not only aimed at addressing the critical demand for blood in medical emergencies but also fostered a spirit of community service and solidarity among the participants.

The Indian Army’s dedication to social responsibility was further highlighted by the participation of NIMHANS and the Lions Club Blood Banks, both of which played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of the drive.
