Mr. OP Gupta, IAS, Addl Chief Secretary (Finance) Govt of Maharashtra Visits NCC Directorate Maharashtra
Mumbai, May 15. Mr. OP Gupta, IAS, Addl Chief Secretary (Finance), Govt of Maharashtra, visited the NCC Directorate Maharashtra on 14 May 2024. He was received by the ADG Maj Gen Yogender Singh, VSM. The Addl Chief Secy interacted with NCC Cadets of Maharashtra Directorate and was briefed on the functioning and performance of NCC in Maharashtra.
Mr. OP Gupta appreciated the efforts of all Officers, JCOs, NCOs and Civilian Staff who have been wholeheartedly performing their duties, resulting in the recent hat-trick of wins of the coveted Republic Day Parade banner by the Maharashtra Directorate. He also interacted with the Group Commanders & the Commanding Officers of Army, Navy & Air Force NCC Units and exhorted them to continue the excellent performance.
Certain aspects with respect to the camp funding and manpower deficiency of the State civilian staff were discussed. The Addl Chief Secy assured of institutionalising smooth flow of funds required for various camp activities and exploring proposal for outsourcing of deficient manpower with the State Govt for approval by NCC Directorate Maharashtra.
The Addl Chief Secy also complimented the ADG and his staff for the informative and interactive visit in which he was able to interact with the Camp Commandant & cadets of Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) presently underway at Akola through Video Conferencing.
