French aerospace clusters on a tour of India to boost partnership

Hyderabad. The international partnership mission, organised by the French Trade Commission – UBIFRANCE, in collaboration with DGCIS, the French Directorate General for Competitiveness, was on a tour of India. It aimed to promote partnership between French clusters and their members with Indian companies and emerging clusters in the aerospace sector.

The delegation comprised of 3 aerospace clusters (AEROSPACE VALLEY, PEGASE et ASTECH) and of 7 French SMEs representing a wide range of activities: engineering and IT services, manufacturing, training and certification. The companies and the clusters taking part in this mission, which included participation at the recently concluded India Aviation 2014 in Hyderabad, interacted with their Indian counterparts to get a better understanding of the aerospace sector in India and to build contacts with potential industrial, research or commercial partners. The tour in Bangalore was planned with this view in mind and the delegation visited HAL and the new production facility of Wipro in the Devanahalli aerospace SEZ in Bangalore.
