India’s new airline, Vistara takes off

New Delhi. Vistara, India’s new airline launched by the Tata group and Singapore Airlines, took off with a maiden flight Jan 9 from Delhi to Mumbai.

It was a new experience for those on board and each of the 148 passengers received a Thank You note. The flight was commanded by Captain Mandesh Singh, and those onboard included airline Chairman Prasad Menon and CEO Phee Teik Yeoh. After landing in Mumbai at 2.40 pm, the first few passengers were received by Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry.
