Haryana Plans Aviation MRO at Hisar

Chandigarh. The Haryana state government is planning to set up a 2000-acre Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at Hisar in western India.

An announcement in this regard was recently made by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) which said that aircraft components would also be made there besides routine servicing of aircraft frames and engines. There would be adequate parking and refuelling facilities at the proposed Aerospace Park, about 150 km from the Indian capital of New Delhi by air.

Hisar already has a small airfield mostly used for pilot training.

The timeline to set up the park is 2022, and HSIIDC plans to invite global tenders in this regard shortly.
