UAE has a new Aviation Plan

Dubai. The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has unveiled a new civil aviation plan towards “an unprecedented state of excellence, efficiency and effectiveness.”

Minister of Economy and Chairman of GCAA Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri announced recently that the new plan would be implemented between 2011 to 2013, leading to comprehensive modernization of everything related to the aviation sector with the best of world standards.

“We announce the new strategy for the years 2011-2013 under the theme ‘Golden Horizons’, hoping it will help bring about new achievements and creative initiatives that take the UAE’s civil aviation sector to an unprecedented state of excellence, efficiency and effectiveness.”

UAE has seen phenomenal growth in all sectors of the economy with the best of airports, infrastructure and airlines.

Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCCA), said that UAE wanted to enhance its position in world civil aviation by adopting the best of civil aviation practices.

UAE has also set up the National Aviation Studies Centre (NASC) in this perspective.
