Raksha Bandhan Celebrations by MARATHA LIRC

Bengaluru, August 20. The Raksha Bandhan, traditionally observed in India, symbolizes the sacred thread of protection and the enduring bond between brothers and sisters. In a heartwarming display of tradition and camaraderie, all ranks of the MARATHA LIRC celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm.

More than 200 school children, ladies from various NGOs including Inner wheel and families of all ranks, came forward to tie Rakhis to young Agniveers and posted troops of MARATHA LIRC who received the rakhis with pride and humility.

They further took an oath to serve the motherland and safeguard its borders and citizens against all threats, internal or external.

The MARATHA LIRC’s celebration of Raksha Bandhan underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to upholding and promoting cultural traditions. By embracing and celebrating such festivals, the Army fosters a sense of unity and awareness among its ranks and citizens.
