New Delhi. The Honorable Minister of State, Defence Raksha Rajya Mantri (RRM) Dr. Subhash Bhamre toady paid visits four city establishments of Defence Research & Development Organization. This is the first visit of the Minister to DRDO labs in Bangalore after he took over as the Raksha Rajya Mantri.
The Minister visited the prestigious labs of DRDO like Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Electronic & Radar Development Establishment (LRDE), Centre of Artificial Intelligence & Robotics (CAIR) and Defence Avionics Research Establishment (DARE). Dr. CP Ramanarayanan, Director General (Aeronautical system) and Ms. J Manjula, Director General (Electronics & Communication system) were present during the visits. The Directors of the respective labs briefed the minister about their projects and the on-going projects He was shown the engine run and other demos of radars, robots and other artificial intelligence products and avionics development related products. RRM was highly appreciated the achievements and project developments by the labs. He was pleased with the percentage of indigenization by the DRDO labs and reiterated the necessity of making it 100% thereby fulfilling the dream of “Make in India” concept.
