Kochi: The annual three week Marine Orientation Course for 65 Gujarat Marine Task Force (GMTF) personnel, including two supervisors, was conducted in three phases at INS Dronacharya, ND School and Seamanship School, from 15 Apr to 04 May 19.
The training was imparted to enable GMTF to efficiently carry out their tasks. The course curriculum included boarding operations, room intervention procedures, tactical movements, close quarter tactics, search procedures, general navigation, use of GPS and navigational charts, boat handling and ‘Rules of the Road’ at sea.
