Troops of Maratha LIRC Celebrates Krishna Janmashtami and Dahi Handi

Bengaluru, August 27. Troops of the MARATHA LIRC celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm. The celebration started with the Birth Ceremony of Lord Krishna at stroke of midnight at Mahadev Mandir which finally culminated in a vibrant Dahi Handi event at the Regimental Centre. The popular festival that involves forming human pyramids to reach and break a pot full of curd hanging high above was conducted as part of a competition among the soldiers, which infused more josh. It was a delightful sight to watch enlisted personnel coordinating, to build these towering human pyramids, showcasing their physical prowess and teamwork.

The celebration, marked by traditional fervor, brought together soldiers in a display of unity and camaraderie, reinforcing the deep cultural roots that bind the Indian Army. Events like Krishna Janmashtami not only honor our traditions but also foster a sense of pride and belonging among the troops.
