Visit of Sri Lanka Navy Delegation to Kochi
Kochi. A five-member defence delegation from Sri Lanka are on a visit to Kochi from 24 to 26 Jul 2019. The delegation is headed by Rear Admiral PM Wickramasinghe, Commander Eastern Naval Area, who is accompanied by one officer from the Sri Lanka (SL) Navy and three officers from the SL Air Force. The delegation called on Vice Admiral A K Chawla, AVSM, NM, VSM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command on 25 Jul 19 at naval base, Kochi.

Sri Lanka designation visiting the training facilities of Dornier Aircraft
Visit of SL delegation to Water Survival Training Facility
The professional visits of the delegation included Indian Naval Air Squadron 550 which fly the “Dornier” maritime patrol aircraft, to gain an insight into operations undertaken by the aircraft in the maritime domain, as well as maintenance facilities and training courses for the ‘Pilots’ and ‘Observers’. The team also visited the Naval Institute of Aeronautical Training to understand the training curriculum of the maintainers, as also the Water Survival Training Facility.
